Why, when I try and open a handwriting font file does it look blocky or bubbly?

If you try and view the single line TTF in any application that isn’t designed to render true single line fonts, the ligatures will be closed and look ‘blocky’. Most software is not designed to recognise true single line fonts and will always close any open ligatures.
Our single line SVG fonts are designed to work in Inkscape with the Hershey Text and NextDraw Merge Extensions. Please see our user guide at https://www.quantumenterprises.co.uk/handwriting-fonts/help-single-line.htm for more information about single line fonts and how to use them.
